Estudo da Agricultura Familiar no Brasil
Souza, A. E.; Reis, J. G. M.; Santos, R.M.; Correia, P. F. C.; Vendrametto, O
Abstract: In Brazil 77% of rural establishments are linked to Family Farming, which is responsible for about 70% of the food consumed in the country. In addition to promoting socio-economic development in their localities, the productions of more than 4 million family farms represent almost 1/3 of the Brazilian Agribusiness Gross Domestic Product - GDP. The present study sought to map the structure of Family Farming in Brazil and its interactions through data collected from the 2017 Agricultural Census. The results showed that family farmers occupy 24% (80 million ha) of the total land in Brazil. 74.5% are owners, 8.4% occupant and 3.9% settled. Among government policies, the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) purchased 23,611 tons of food produced by 9,675 family farmers in 2018. PAA was operationalized 64.9 million reais, of which 27.5 million were destined for the Northeast region. Although the Northeast region is indicated as the largest beneficiary by the PAA, the South region has the highest average income among national producers, with R $ 7,300.00. In addition, the Southern region is the largest beneficiary of agricultural credit financing lines and the region with the highest concentration of agricultural equipment use.

Forecasting Corn Storage Capacity in Santos Port Terminal in Brazil
Souza, A. E.; Reis, J. G. M.; Abraham, E.; Santos, R. M.; Vendrametto, O.
Abstract: Brazil, an important player in the international commodities trade, is currently the third largest exporter of corn, which is one of the main inputs in several food supply chains. In this study, we investigated the capability of the Port of Santos, the major port of Latin America, to deal with the growing demand for Brazilian corn exportation. To do so, we used forecast models to estimate corn exports from both Brazil and the Port of Santos forthe 2017–2021 period. Next, we used data from the main grain export terminal of the Port of Santos to determine its storage capacity for accommodating a sufficient flow of corn to meet new export demands via Santos. The results show that corn exports along this route may increase by 115%, which necessitates investment in the port and terminal to avoid logistical bottlenecks.

Avaliação do Impacto Ambiental do Fornecimento de Hortifrutis no Mercado de Teresina, Piauí
Eulálio Neto, M.; Nääs, I. A.
Abstract: The present study evaluates the impact of the transport of fruit and vegetables from the production area in the company's distribution center, Nova Ceasa, where the routes traveled between a producing region and the distribution center is identified. The potential environmental impact caused using on-road transportation, using trucks in the distances traveled between the production center and the distribution center is estimated using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) in CO2 emissions. Transportation is a logistics activity with an important role within the supply chain, as it makes sectors economically feasible. The results found after carrying out the calculation of the GWPimpact, graphically demonstrate the environmental impact related to the transport of tomatoes from the State of Goiás, which are of lesser quantity have an environmental impact greater than the impact on the product that comes from Ceará, which is the next distribution center and the distance traveled concerning the quantity of products transported is proportionally greater. It remains that the transportation distance does not affect the environmental impact, relating to the distance and the volume transported relationship.

Carvalho, G. C. G.; Vendrametto, O.; Morais, I. B. A.; Naas, I.

Abstract: The activity of extracting gems can be improved if public policies are adopted to expand the production chain in the State. In theory, the activity could be improved through an increase in the financial collection of the taxes through mineral extraction in line with the characteristics of the local economy. The present study uses the data mining process to estimate a model for classifying the regional development of states with this activity, considering the financial compensation for mineral extraction (CFEM), which is a consideration for the benefit of the exploitation of the public good, GDP, HDI, and geo-tourism as measurement attributes of the production states in the past ten years. The results indicate that regional development is not directly related to the collection of financial compensation for mineral extraction. Therefore, the increase in the taxes would not imply a direct benefit for the local community. Further initiatives would be necessary for the resource received to become improvements for the regional population.

Franco, E. A. P.; Nääs, I. A.; Bezerra, F. de A.; Alencar, A. P. L.
Abstract: The feed is the most important cost item in the production of broilers. Feed distribution is usually done from the feed factory to chicken farmers. The present study aimed to evaluate the feed distribution routes in a cooperative in the surrounding region of Teresina-PI. Data were collected on the farm's location during two months of the year and the route used by the distribution trucks. The coordinates were plotted on a map, and the routes were described and the quantities distributed. For mapping the coordinates of the farms, the RoutEasy® application was used. The data were inserted in an Excel spreadsheet for presentation. The results indicate that the routing adopted today does not contain adequate planning, serving only on demand, which can represent an inadequate fuel expense and wear and tear on transport vehicles. Given these results, the possibility of optimizing routes based on variables such as storage capacity on the farm, demand for chickens, and the location of the farms is evident.

Kyrillos, S.L.; Nascimento, R.J.; Souza, J.B.; Sacomano, J.B.; Ollitta Jr, U.
Abstract: This research presents the data obtained in a metalurgical company, from the implementation of VSM - Value Stream Mapping tool - in agreement with the Lean Manufacturing - LM system. Through a quali-quantitative approach, and the research-action method was used as a research strategy. The starting point was based on a bibliographical survey, it was sought to identify concepts to develop and implement VSM in a manufacturing unit located in the industrial district of Guarulhos (Brazil). The participation of employees and researchers, we test the hypothesis that with the VSM method implementation is possible to obtain a productivity gain without investment in assets. The results demonstrated an improvement in productivity, increasing the man, hour, machine (hhm) ratio by 26.74%, a 21% reduction in processing time (PT) and 31.5% in Lead Time (LT). Was concluded that with the application of the VSM tool an improvement of the planning, programming and production control (PPCP) management is obtained, resulting in actions that lead to the productivity gain. This study contributes to demonstrate that managing the production based on real data structured in mathematical tools is as relevant as the improvement of the productive infrastructure of the factory; leading to the effective reduction of waste, to improving productivity and increasing the competitiveness.

Improvement Proposals for the Operation of Discharge of Barrilha in the São Sebastião Port-SP
Souza, A. E.; Reis, J. G. M.; Garrido, P.; Abraham, E.
Abstract: The results of the simulation revealed that the most used resource is the hopper, the main unloading equipment from the ship, where the operation begins. In the hypothesis of 1 suit, 74.82% of the hopper resource was used. Against 52.61% in periods of 2 work suits. In addition, the hopper resource is the one that generates the most queue of trucks, with an average of 18 min for 1 suit, with a maximum number of 15 trucks waiting. With the simulation of 2 suits, the queuing time is reduced to 2 minutes, with a maximum of 6 trucks waiting. The number of truck exits from the port was 92 for 1 suit, with a load removal rate of 1,435.2 t / period and 239.2 t / hour. For 2 suits, the number of exits was 108 trucks, with a load removal rate of 1,684.8 t / period, 280.8 t / hour. The average carousel time also varies from 1h19min for 1 suit, and 1h03min for 2 suits, a value that is justified by the queue reduction in the hopper process.

Short Food Supply Chains: A Alternative for Family Farming in Brazil
Souza, A. E.; Reis, J. G. M.; Abraham, E.; Costa. L. M.; Vendrametto, O.
Short chains are feasible alternatives for a model of distribution and commercialization of small producer production, considering their low bargaining power, when inserted in traditional agri-food chains. The studies indicated that short chains contribute to the development of their localities, through social insertion and improvement of the life of family farmers. The revaluation of the origin of the origin of production is the main strategy for the construction and success of these chains, as they refer to the cultural values of the local tradition. In addition, interpersonal relationships between producer and consumer guarantee cheaper prices, quality and food safety. Short chains, although incipient in Brazil, are an important instrument for income distribution, food security and strengthening of family farming in the country.

Viagens Diárias Per Capita explicam a Mobilidade Urbana no Brasil?
Helcio Raymundo, João Gilberto Mendes dos Reis
Abstract: Explaining and better understanding the phenomena of Urban Mobility in a synthesized manner is a necessity for passenger transport planning in developing countries. The objective of this article is to analyze the per capita daily travel indicator, obtained in Origin and Destination Household Surveys, from a sample of 14 Brazilian cities or metropolitan regions in the period from 1967 to 2017, to verify its limitations, scope, and behavior over time, and to verify the possibility of correlating it with other socioeconomic indicators. The results are encouraging, because it is possible to describe the general behavior of Urban Mobility in Brazil by the evolution of daily trips per capita and to correlate it with other indicators, such as GDP per Capita and Gini Index. It is shown that Urban Mobility can be related to income inequality, but it is also evident the need to deepen the studies and analyses described here to confirm these findings.

Abstract: System energy diagrams make it possible to understand how energy, material, and information flows interact from a systemic point of view. They are adopted here to improve the understanding of three current phenomena, Industry 4.0, smart city, and Society 5.0, the three with great support in connectivity and disruptive technologies. It involves thinking about parts, processes, and their connections. The diagrams showed that the components present and their functions are analogous for all the systems under study. The intensive presence of information flows of various types permeates the feedback in internal storages and acts by releasing or selecting quantity and/or type of materials, goods, energy, and even human labor. A wide variety of information flows of different characteristics is evidenced. Information presents different type and degree of organization and also different nature, but all to a lesser or greater degree provide intensive feedback on the production of products or services. The intensity of information flows in Society 5.0 seems high and forms a more complex network, providing other feedbacks between the subsystems and a more active presence and with a greater weight of the flows coming from the consensus of the inhabitants.

Barbosa L. R.; Guimarães A. R. N.; Bonilla S. H.; Gonçalves R. F.
Abstract: The use of photovoltaic energy in homes worldwide grows every day and seems to be very promising in countries with great solar radiation such as Brazil, even more with the possibility of offsetting electricity credits in the energy distributor (net metering). However, due to taxes, the cost compared to other countries is high. An On-Grid photovoltaic electric power generation-consumption model is built based on a middle class residence located in São Paulo. It comprises the dimensioning of the photovoltaic system necessary to supply the consumption needs as well as the possibilities of paying for its implementation. Five scenarios were evaluated. One in case the residents have the amount to pay at the moment of the investment. And four other scenarios when it is necessary to ask for a loan to pay for the investment. It was observed that although the investment return (payback) is not low if applications were made during the loan, there is a decrease in the impact of the interest rate.

de Araújo, Fernanda Alves; dos Reis, João Gilberto Mendes; Bonette, Luiz Rodrigo
Abstract: Transportation systems remain a challenge for most supply chains. Delivery products in time, quantity and location at once is not an easy task and this challenge is even amplified when we are dealing with Last-mile logistics. Despite of businessto-business being less difficult compared to business-to-consumer distribution, there are still many operational logistics issues related to it. In this paper, we investigated a last-mile logistics from a Brewery Industry transferring supplier materials among its plants in São Paulo, Brazil. The aim is to identify the most important players in the network, offering the company a more effective view of the plants and their supply last-mile network. Therefore, we used the Social Network Analysis approach using the UCINET ©software. The results allowed the company to improve the efficiency of its lastmile B2B distribution for internal supplier materials.

Scenarios of the Degree of Centrality and Density of the Networks of the Main Brazilian Airports between 2003 to 2020
Bonette, L. R.; Araujo, F. A.; Reis, J. G. M.; Correia, P. F. C.
Abstract: The identification of air transport networks is relevant to the economic development of a city or region initially, through its passenger demands, and, in this case, there may be a difference between the formation of these networks in different periods and which are the main actors compared in a sample of seven airports. The aim of this study was to analyze the degree of centrality of the network of the seven largest Brazilian passenger airports. This sample is based on the analysis of network indicators for the collection and extraction of passenger data between destinations and airport origins by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The Social Network Analysis (SNA) method was applied for the construction of networks through the application of @ Ucinet/Netdraw Version 6.716 software to understand the degree of centrality and the density of the network in the scenarios of 2003, 2007, 2015, 2018, and 2020. It was concluded that the conjuncture of the links and nodes within the scenarios of the hub-and-spoke airport networks of the flows is sustained, to a greater and lesser extent in the network, by an airport in the Brazilian midwestern region (Brasília) and two other airports in the southeastern region. For future contributions, the nine-month 2020 Covid-19 pandemic period was analyzed, bringing results such as reductions in the degrees of centrality and density of the network of these seven airports.

Barbosa L. R., Guimarães A. R. N., Bonilla S. H., Gonçalves R. F.
Abstract: Overnight, because of the pandemic, schools, commerce, churches, parks, cinemas, restaurants, bars and gyms were closed. People were inside their houses afraid of the unknown. And about companies? They waited for the government guidelines and competent bodies to know the direction they would take to their employees and activities. Some companies already had projects to implement the partial or full Work at Home, and seized the situation to accelerate this process so that the operations didn’t stop. The Work at Home came into force with the new 2017 labor law, but its adherence is much more complex than we can imagine. Some companies suffer from cultural barriers, which often slow their growth, but the state of the pandemic has affected the structures and caused backward thoughts to fall into space for such a method, for the sake of survival, literally. This essay aims to present the migration process from Back Office to Home Office of a maintenance company. The first barrier was broken down in an emergency committee due to the pandemic. Little by little the results were appearing and being measured. The operations managed to remain stable, however, some segments such as Shopping Centers, business condominiums and education felt a strong financial impact with the abrupt closing activities, even so the loss was proportional, since what was lost was revenue and not profit margin.

Abstract: The individuals as well as the cities they live, are each day more interconnected, creating new service possibilities and offers. A new digital era is marked by a new society ecosystem focused on the redefinition of the concept of cities, urbanism and way of life, motivated by the introduction or development of Information and Communication Technology. The Internet of Services, coupled with the Internet of Things, has been mentioned as an important pillar for the Smart Cities architecture, however publications focusing on the Internet of Services domain are still missing. This paper aims to fill this gap through characterizing the Internet of Services applications within the Smart Cities and analyzing if cities that already have a high degree of technology and innovation are ready to be smart cities. A case study was carried out using secondary data published about two Brazilian cities: São José dos Campos and Sorocaba By means of a comparative analysis of the last Brazilian Smart Cities rankings, we assessed the performance of the two cities to evaluate if they could be classified as Smart Cities. As main result, we concluded the better the Internet infra-structure and a governance of the municipality authorities on a plan for a Smart City development jointly with the inhabitants, the better ranked as Smart City will become the municipality.

The Pestel analysis was used as a tool to identify the macro (external) forces that affect production with the management of the aviary with the aid of the Frango's application. These can be political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal. In the Swot analysis, a synthesis of the external and internal analyzes was performed, which identifies items for the organization of the applicability of the Frango's application, which implies establishing action priorities. When considering the political, economic, social, technological, and environmental factors, the positive impacts are greater than the negative impacts of the sector, generating an impulse in production and balance in risks regarding the use of technology in the sector. The factors with the most significant influence are technological and economical, and the least significant are the social factors that still depend on improvements in the chicken production process on farms using fast service technologies such as applications.

Antunes, H.; Romero, R. R.; Cruz, E. M.; Lima, J.; Palmieri, N. L.
Abstract: As pequenas empresas do mercado nacional são responsáveis por aproximadamente 27% do PIB Brasileiro.

Abstract: A indústria 4.0 promete revolucionar o modo de produção industrial.

Egidio, A. G. F.; Souza, A. V.; Matos, F. S. S.; Xavier, J. C.; Souza Junior, L. F. B.; Reis, J. G. M.
Abstract: The state of Mato Grosso do Sul is one of the most important Brazilian states in soybean production. However, there is no studies about the role of production in the State, identifying barriers, advances and the market for the product. The objective of this article is to fill this gap and to do so, it investigates the evolution of this production chain through a segmented analysis in a decade, considering the years 2009 and 2019. The methodology consists of a graphical analysis using Microsoft Excel ® and a social network analysis (SNA) through network visualization using NETDRAW® software. The results indicated an advance of the planted area to the countryside of the State in areas of environmental conservation, but that did not mean a huge change in soybean production in terms of region. In addition, the study concluded that exports from the state have become increasingly concentrated and with fewer partners, with China being responsible for acquiring more than 70% of the soybean from Mato Grosso.

Aplicação Econômica da Rodagem Tripla em Veículos de Carga: Estudo de Caso
Boulos Filho, P.; Nääs, I. A.
Abstract: This work presents a case study to develop a comparative analysis that evaluates a soy transportation route under a different aspect. An extra tire was simulated to be added to the standard double axle recommended by Brazilian norms, and a comparative study was made relating load and cost freight on a pre-identified stretch of highway through the state of Mato Grosso, and Mato Grosso do Sul, from the city of Lucas do Rio Verde to the Rondonópolis train station, the route between the producer and the railroad that directs the cargo to the port. Through the results, it was possible to understand that this type of axle with triple wheels becomes interesting in the financial aspect of the cost of transport, allowing, in the same freight, a greater amount of load generating the same damage to the pavement, without affecting the pavement’s useful life, which was initially designed to last ten years.

Abstract: The study aimed to analyze the manufacturing process of customized conveyor belts and it evaluated the influence of the manufacturing strategy on other productive activities in the context of a company. The company chose for the study is in the metal-mechanic sector, located in the South of Brazil, specializing in the manufacture of customized items for intralogistics handling, that is, of diverse materials in need of handling in its production flows. In this environment, a single case study was carried out through direct observation, individual in-depth interview, with a semi-structured approach, and documentary research. The study findings point out that, despite the product customization, it is fundamental for the business survival, the production process is not standardized, although there are some support routines. However, it observed that the competitive environment in which the company developed and competes, comprises national manufacturers, who have the expertise and the ability to customize their products, besides several importers, which are characterized by limited product customization (materials used, and formats), since the items are produced at a lower cost in other countries, but with a longer lead time than the company under study. Furthermore, the relevance of the company's manufacturing strategy, associated with products customization and greater flexibility was evidenced, since, without this customization, the company would become less competitive and prepared for variations in market demands.

Antecedents of Value-in-Use in a Winery in Southern Brazil
Silva, M. B. C.; Bebber, S.; Matte, J.; Milan, G. S.; De Toni, D.; Mascarello, C. G.; Suzin, T. Z.
Abstract: The goal of this study is to analyze the perceived value-in-use by wine tourism customers based on the product design, the product price, the service provided, and customer satisfaction. A survey was applied to 223 customers visiting or buying at a winery in southern Brazil. The data were analyzed through the structural equation modeling technique. The main results show that value-in-use is influenced by customer satisfaction, which, in turn, is influenced by the service provided. The price charged for a product is positively influenced by the product design but is not influenced by the service provided by the winery. Wine tourism services should be charged separately from the products and not as tied-in sales. The confirmation of the service provided as an antecedent of customer satisfaction demonstrates the importance of the services when visiting wineries, evidencing that tourists seek the experience as one of the visit motivations. New experiences and a qualified staff, who can guide the tourist during visitation, make the tourist more satisfied.

Abstract: The service sector, in general, has a strong influence on the economy of Brazil, given its high capacity to generate jobs. However, with the change in living standards stipulated by the pandemic of the new Coronavirus, this was a sector that needed to reinvent itself to maintain some jobs in different segments, such as communication, tourism, bars and restaurants. In view of this, the present study aimed to develop an inventory management analysis in a self-service restaurant located in the mesoregion of Alto Paranaíba. To this end, the study was based on quantitative and qualitative research approaches, in addition to assuming a descriptive character. Thus, the study analyzed the data collected from interviews and semi-structured questionnaires with the aid of tools to support inventory management such as the ABC Curve and the Economic Purchases Lot. Thus, a possible cost reduction was found for product classes A, B and C. In some cases, the reductions were more significant, such as the purchase of pasta, kibe and rice. In these, it was suggested to managers to adopt a purchase order closer to EPL. Finally, the use of the ABC Curve and the Economic Purchasing Lot allowed to obtain a projection of the optimum amount of raw material to be purchased.

Hybrid metaheuristic algorithm (SAGAC) used in optimization of vacuum cooling treatment of postharvest broccoli
Benvenga, M. A. C.; Nääs, I. A.
Abstract: This research aims to analyze the application of the hybrid metaheuristic algorithm SAGAC, which is composed of the Simulated Annealing (SA) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) techniques with the inclusion of a convergence acceleration (AC) mechanism. SAGAC was used to optimize the postharvest broccoli vacuum cooling process. Another concern included in the algorithm is population diversity, and, for this situation, a high mutation rate (40%) and a low elitism rate (10%) were used. The objective of maintaining population diversity is to avoid premature and undue convergence of the results curve. The SAGAC algorithm's performance was compared with another type of approach in optimizing this process, which used the Response Surface (RSM) methodology combined with the Genetic Algorithm (GA), here, called RSMGA in this present study. The results obtained showed that the SAGAC algorithm obtained better results concerning RSMGA in optimizing this process.

Leão Martins, C. R. C; Giannetti, B. F.; Agostinho, F.; Almeida, C. M. V. B.

Mauro Campello
Abstract: This article aims at a brief analysis on circular economy: what it is, the main concepts, principles, benefits and changes in production in general. For this, it presents relative aspects of the concept of linear economy, sustainability, logistics and reverse logistics and, also, a presentation on the changes in production by industrial revolutions and technology. The traditional process of producing goods and services uses, in most cases, resources extracted from nature. It turns out that this extraction speed does not allow enough time for its regeneration. At the end of the production process and postconsumption of products, there is an accumulation of waste that is not always properly disposed of, which generates an impact on nature. In most cases, this garbage has value, being well processed, in addition to being able to be reused as an input for other various processes and, at the limit, not even exist. This is the concept of the circular economy, which allows significant changes in production, but also in the entire process, changing forms of production, distribution, consumption, supply chain relationships, in addition to the business itself. Sustainable development issues are addressed and how the circular economy contributes to the improvement of the environment, business, people, the importance of reverse logistics, both in the circular economy and in sustainability for companies and society from an economic point of view, environmental and social, generating benefits and value. The research methodology is a bibliographic review. Based on the results presented and discussed, it appears that the objective has been achieved.

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to study the national orange production, the producing regions and the interferences that decrease productivity. Considering the great trend and the growth potential of orange consumption in the coming years, in comparison with the current pandemic scenario, a survey of production, exports, consumption, and forecasts for this segment was carried out. The method used is of an applied nature, a qualitative approach, with extensive documentary research for the collection of secondary data, which point to a problem in the productivity of the 2019/2020 crop, due to climatological factors, mainly, the decrease in rainfall. Another aspect is the biennially, whose production cycle alternates between higher and lower yields. On the other hand, even with the expectations of a reduction in production, market demand increased in the scenario of the pandemic, which with an appreciated exchange rate, still presents an uncertain market, keeping the country as the largest producer of the fruit.

Ground Handling: Serviço Auxiliar de Transporte Aéreo
Souza, V. P.; Reis, J. G. M.; Souza, F. M. S.; Souza J. S.; Souza, N. A.
Abstract: The modern air transport industry is faced with the complex challenge of administering and managing airport logistics in such a way that everyone involved performs their activities within the expected timeframe. On the other hand, air transport stakeholders are constantly under pressure with changing standards and improvements in safety, security, passenger service, and sustainability, as well as the increasing need for facility modernization. In this regard, Ground Handling plays a key role in the development of the industry by providing ground services under the aircraft wing in support of aircraft, passengers, crew, baggage and cargo. The duration of activities, as well as the response time, depends on many different variables. This includes operational variables related to the type of aircraft (size, number of seats) and the service time required to perform them (full maintenance or minimum maintenance). In addition, operations must be performed in a predefined and usually limited response time, and precedence constraints between tasks must be met. The technologies and modernization make air transport increasingly look for professionals prepared to deal with customer service in an efficient, human and personalized way. The bibliographical research allowed a survey of the Ground Handling activities through manuals and documents of the airport sector. This article aims to present the functions of Ground Handling, showing that these services are considered drivers of efficiency in the management and quality of boarding and disembarking at airports.

Mammoli, M. 1; Torres, J. G. M.; Teodoro, A. L. A.; Souza, C. C.
Abstract: The mapping of breeding risk areas, of the biological vectors that transmit Dengue, Zyka and Chikungunya, is important for the control of these diseases. By 2085, about 50% of the world's population will live in areas at high risk for mosquitoborne diseases: Malaria, Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya, Urban Yellow Fever. Climate change, global warming, can increase the distribution of vector-borne diseases by offering conditions for their distribution in previously cold areas. Between 2015 and 2016, an epidemic of Zyka virus occurred in Brazil and may have been driven by El Niño. Researchers at the University of Liverpool have linked El Niño in 2015 and 2016 - one of the strongest in recent years - and the Zika epidemic in South America, North America and Asia. By increasing the temperature, the biological parameters of the mosquito increase, including the frequency of bites, from 15 in 15 to 4 in 4 days. Space platforms are used to collect climate data to predict the dynamics of the spread of vector-borne diseases. We propose the development of elementary and secondary school students to observe, identify and send data on the appearance of Aedes Aegypti linked to data from ecological niches. Because reliable data collected on the ground are important for computational modeling based on satellite data, allowing for more accurate modeling of scenarios and better planning of preventive actions.

Utilização do Modelo 5 SEnSU para Avaliar o Setor Têxtil no Brasil Explorando o Meio Ambiente como Provedor de Recursos
Santos, C. E.; Agostinho, F.; Gianetti, B. F.; Almeida, C. M. V.
Abstract: Since mid-2010, in the textile sector, there has been a tendency to associate the increase in industrial production with a reduction in the expenditure of inputs and the generation of polluting materials and gases. Class entities in the textile sector propose that specific procedures be established and maintained to identify the environmental aspects of their processes, products, and services to identify significant environment impacts. There is a need to establish consistent, sustainable metrics so that environmental impacts are numerically established, with a clear and objective method for their adoption as performance indicators, corporate strategies, and sectoral policies. The concept of the environment supported by the sustainability tripod: environment, society and economy are correct. However, we propose an expansion of scope in the current concept, since the establishment of an indicator that contemplates only one of the elements of the tripod, can privilege one to the detriment of the others, distorting the overall result. To fill this gap, we present the application of the 5 SEnSU model that proposes, as an environmental metric, the analysis of the interactions between five sectors contemplating the conceptual group of environment, society and economy and expanding it with the adoption of two indicators for each sector, creating an analysis panel with ten indicators resulting from a multicriteria system, in this case, “goal programming”. The model is being applied, in historical series, from 2001 to 2018, in the textile sector of synthetic fiber for automotive application, contemplating only the first sector of the model.

Última Milha Logística: Estudo de Caso de Implantação de Sistema com Validação do Modelo Conceitual de Gestão de Stakeholders e Confiança
De Oliveria, G. F.; Glória Júnior, I.
Abstract: The B2B and B2C delivery sector has a growing demand and has attracted the attention of companies on how to seek competitive advantage. Competitiveness, although based on a good business plan, derives from investment in information and communication technology in order to reduce costs, time and improve the quality perceived by customers. The logistics chain has a higher cost segment, labeled as the Last Mile, which uses the unitization of delivery and in some cases, the excessive handling necessary to reach the product in the hands of the consumer. However, projects for the implementation of information and communication technology in the last mile are complex, since, in addition to the search for logistical efficiency, they must be considered expectations of different stakeholders or they will be doomed to failure. This article deals with the case study carried out after the successful implementation of a last mile monitoring system in the fictitious company Beta and aims to analyze whether the practices carried out by the project team are consistent with the steps provided in the conceptual model of management of stakelhoders and trust. Through analysis of semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis, it was identified that the actions carried out by the project team are in line with what was proposed in the model. It is, therefore, a recommendation to include on the project teams' agenda its application to increase the chance of success in projects.

Abstract: The Cuban efforts for the founding of a local biodiesel industry are totally focused on Jatropha based, as the main source of bioenergy for transportation in rural areas. There is not a national policy in this respect and the producers and users are dealing with the use of a blend of 15% of biodiesel of Jatropha curcas and 85% diesel fuel. This is a major challenge for the farmers and municipalities, due to risk and uncertainty in its production, profitability, and land disposal, among others. The present study investigates the supply chain network and related problems of the biodiesel industry in Cuba. The Jatropha based biodiesel supply chain includes stages like seeds production, feedstock logistics such as harvesting, storage, and transportation, biodiesel production, distribution, and final use in diesel engines. The critical factor is the seed production at the level needed for a stable supply of oil to the biodiesel plant. Consumables that are imported are another risk factor in the Jatropha value chain in Cuban local production. The settling of a local bioenergy market is another task for the Jatropha industry but also for the by-products generated (glycerol, Jatropha cake and husk) are also crucial for the sustainability of the industry.
